KENTUCKY BUCKWHEAT for sale
Kentucky Buckwheat is a 16.1 hand Gelding and he is a sweetheart - Really. He loads and trailers well, Gets along with all the
horses (him and 3 others) here. He bathes well, shoes great and stalls well. He lays down in the stall. We had a vet check and
a lameness check done last fall. The results were excellent. Vets name available on request. Fresh shots and coggins.
Buckwheat requires a strong rider which is why my wife can't handle him. I do OK with him but I have my own horse and I can't
keep two ridden like they need to be. So far everyone that has written or called me wants a horse they can put a 2 year old on
and Buckwheat isn't that horse. He is 8 years young and wants to go. I rode him for 6 1/2 hours last month with the Foxtrotters
and he was still going strong when we got back to the trailer. Buckwheat would make an excellent endurance horse or a field
trial horse - Oh, he is eager to learn new stuff. His gait is awesome and eats up the miles. When he gets into his gait he
makes my Walker work to keep up. Reason we are selling so cheap is so my wife can get a 14-15 hand gaited horse that is
older and more what she can handle. You are probably asking yourself about the other two of the three horses I mentioned we
have here. One is 30 and the other is 32. So, they are basically living their lives out here. Buckwheat has been in the American
Royal Parade, Jesse James Parade; Trail rode in Eminence, Flint Hills and Southern Missouri as well as local trails. ASKING
$1,500 or trade for a gaited horse - We have to sell or trade him to get her one she can ride.
